第36回（2026年）ケベック州日本語弁論大会が、3月7日、UQAMにて開催されました。今回は、ベリ・ウカム駅の上に姿をのぞかせる旧サン＝ジャック教会の一角、サル・ド・ボワズリで行われ、歴史を感じさせる空間の中、落ち着きと緊張感のある、どこかおごそかな雰囲気に包まれた大会となりました。一方で、会場には参加者を温かく見守るまなざしと拍手があふれ、日本語学習を通じた喜びや達成感が共有される、心和むひとときでもありました。 今年度は初級・中級部門に参加者が集中し、それぞれの部門で力のこもった発表が続き、なかでも中級部門は甲乙つけがたい発表が並び、審査が特に白熱しました。本大会の優勝者は、3月29日に開催された第37回カナダ全国日本語弁論大会（アルバータ大学・高円宮日本教育・研究センター）に出場しました。全国大会では、初級部門のノエミ・ブノワさん（UQAM）が第2位、中級部門のサミ・エラガさん（UQAM）が第3位を獲得し、ケベック州代表として見事な成績を収めました。州大会での努力が全国の舞台でも実を結び、参加者一人ひとりの学びの積み重ねが感じられる結果と
