Haruna Luna and Konomi Suzuki... Musical guests at Otakuthon 2026

Following the Mr. Wada tribute on Friday night was Konomi Suzuki’s performance Saturday afternoon. This event drew the biggest crowd as it was a sold out show. Fans were very eager to hear the singer responsible for such Anime music hits as Redo, Realize, and This Game.

It is always a different experience seeing an artist perform in a live setting. Some singers shine in the studio, but struggle a little when performing live. For others it is the other way around. They find it easier to showcase their talent in a live setting and Suzuki-san falls in the latter category. She sounds great in studio recordings, but she really shines performing live. Her vocals were powerful and clean at all times, even during the more demanding parts of her songs.

You could tell she wasn’t new to the stage, as it really looked like she was in her element, happy and confident at all times. She interacted with the crowd throughout her performance in English, and sometimes in French. Near the end of her performance, Ms. Suzuki asked if there were any RE:Zero cosplayers in the audience and ended up inviting on stage around 25 attendees cosplaying as a character from the show. It was genuinely a very unique moment, something you would only see at an Anime convention, and a real gift to the crowd.

She ended her performance with one of her most popular songs, “This Game” from No Game No Life, to the delight of the crowd.

Quelques heures plus tard, ce fut au tour de Haruna Luna de monter sur scène. En plus d’être reconnue pour sa contribution significative à la scène de l’Anisong (chanson d’Anime), la jeune artiste s’est également fait connaître à ses débuts comme mannequin dans le milieu de la mode Goth/Lolita. Elle arbore habituellement sur scène des tenues mignonnes et élaborées, et elle est restée fidèle à ce style lors de sa prestation à Otakuthon.

Elle a ensuite enchaîné avec une prestation à haut tempo et débordante d’énergie, au grand plaisir des festivaliers. Ce sont d’ailleurs principalement ce type de chansons qu’elle interprète en spectacle, avec quelques ballades comme « Soraha Takaku Kazeha Utau » ici et là.

Je peux sans hésitation dire que son chant était impeccable ce jour-là, tout comme sa prestation dans son ensemble. Deux autres membres de l’équipe du Bulletin ont d’ailleurs mentionné à quel point ils avaient été impressionnés et combien ils avaient apprécié son spectacle.

Elle a conclu sa prestation avec sa chanson la plus populaire, « Overfly », qui a conquis une foule déjà séduite à l’instant où elle avait mis les pieds sur scène.
